Why 100% hemp
Hemp has been used for thousands of years by people in motion —
sailors, builders, nomads, travellers.
It breathes. Stays fresh longer.
It adapts. Best for your Skin.
It becomes softer with use. Not satin, but velvet touch.
We chose 100% hemp not because it is trendy,
but because it makes sense — in real climates, real homes, real lives.
Hemp is not about shine. It’s about balance.
Two years of learning
In these two years, we learned a lot.
We learned that slower is often better.
That not every customer is our customer.
That quality takes time — and cannot be rushed.
We tested our textiles in humidity, in dry Nordic winters, in movement and everyday use.
And we chose focus over scale.
Makuu is growing — thoughtfully, not loudly.
